The 2026 North Texas Fall Guide: Southlake, Grapevine, Keller & Trophy Club
The festivals, restaurants, pumpkin patches, patios, family activities, and local traditions worth adding to your calendar this fall.

Okay, fall in North Texas is a little funny.
It does not exactly make a dramatic entrance. One week it still feels like summer, and the next, every weekend on your calendar is somehow booked with festivals, football, pumpkin patches, patio dinners, and all the seasonal things we have been waiting to do.
Truly, I just love it!
Fall is the season when our area seems to come alive. The mornings finally begin cooling down, being outside feels enjoyable again, and there is always something happening across Southlake, Grapevine, Keller, and Trophy Club.
So Hector and I put together the kind of fall guide we would send to a friend who had just moved here and wanted to know what was actually worth doing.
Not every possible event. Just the places, traditions, restaurants, and outings that help make fall here feel special.
Fall Events to Add to Your 2026 Calendar
A few of the biggest fall traditions begin before the Texas weather fully gets the message.
GrapeFest returns to Historic Main Street in Grapevine September 17 through September 20. It brings wine tastings, live music, food, shopping, and plenty for families to do too. Even if wine is not your thing, the energy along Main Street makes this one worth experiencing.
Hall’s Pumpkin Farm opens October 2 and runs through November 1. This is one of those classic North Texas fall traditions that never needs to become overly complicated. Pick out pumpkins, walk through the corn maze, take a hayride, see the animals, and take the photo that officially proves fall has begun.
Oktoberfest Southlake takes over Southlake Town Square October 16 through October 18. Expect food, music, shopping, family activities, and, of course, the wiener dog races. It is one of those weekends when Southlake Town Square feels especially alive.
There are also smaller community events throughout the season, including Pet Fest in Trophy Club, PumpkinFest at Meadowmere Park, and November festivals around Keller and the surrounding communities.

Slow Fall Mornings
Some of my favorite fall plans are the ones that barely qualify as plans.
Order something warm, find a cozy corner, and stay longer than you originally intended.
For pastries and a Main Street morning, visit Main Street Bistro in Grapevine. Seven Mile Cafe is a favorite for breakfast in Old Town Keller. If you want to pair coffee and breakfast with time outside, visit the Keller Farmers Market and then walk through Bear Creek Park.
Southlake also continues to add new coffee options, which makes me far more excited than it probably should. I will always support a morning built around coffee, something good to eat, and nowhere urgent to be.
The Best Places to Get Outside
The entire point of this season is being able to stay outside longer than you planned without feeling like you are melting.
Bob Jones Nature Center in Southlake is one of our favorite options for trails, nature programs, and a quieter morning outdoors.
Bear Creek Park in Keller has a creek, pond, playgrounds, and an easy walking loop. It works when you want to get everyone outside without turning it into an enormous production.
Trophy Club Park offers lake views, wildlife, trails, and enough room to explore. It is one of those places that can feel like a quick reset without actually leaving town.
If your version of “outside” involves a drink and a patio, Postino Southlake deserves a place on the list too.
Fall with the Kids
Weekends with children tend to go much more smoothly when you already know where you are going.
Hall’s Pumpkin Farm is the obvious fall favorite, with pumpkins, hayrides, animals, and its corn maze.
PumpkinFest at Meadowmere Park creates a seasonal pumpkin-lined walk that feels festive without requiring an entire day.
Bear Creek Park is an easy option when everyone needs room to move, and Trophy Club’s Pet Fest welcomes visitors who want to bring the dog along too.

After Dark
Cooler evenings make it much easier to say yes to dinner, one more stop, or live music after the sun goes down.
Vidorra in Grapevine is a lively option for modern Mexican food, cocktails, and weekend brunch.
Social Oak in Trophy Club has wine, whiskey, cocktails, and a moodier speakeasy feeling.
For dessert, Main Street Bistro has French pastries, tarts, cakes, and coffee.
If your group cannot agree on one restaurant, Harvest Hall in Grapevine gives everyone options, plus drinks and live music at Third Rail.
When People Come to Visit
Whenever friends or family visit North Texas, I want to show them the places that make our part of the Metroplex feel special.
Start with Historic Main Street in Grapevine for walkable shops, tastings, coffee, and local charm.
Plan one meal at Hudson House in Southlake for oysters, famously cold martinis, a beautiful patio, and that lively East Coast neighborhood atmosphere.
Take them to Trophy Club Park for the lake views and trails, or time their visit around GrapeFest or Oktoberfest and let the festival plan the day for you.
A Fall Weekend Trip
Sometimes you want to get out of town without spending half the weekend driving.
Autumn at the Arboretum in Dallas is a classic fall day trip, especially when the pumpkin village is on display.
The Fort Worth Stockyards are close enough for a spontaneous day out. Watch the cattle drive, explore Mule Alley, and check the calendar for seasonal events.
For a trip that feels like a genuine reset, drive to Fossil Rim in Glen Rose and book the self-drive wildlife route.

It is also the coffee shop where you meet a friend on a slow morning. The park your kids ask to visit again. The festival your family looks forward to every year. The restaurant where birthdays happen. The places that eventually become part of your family’s memories.
That is what makes a community feel like home.
